I am passionate about creating brand voices and campaigns. Specifically, I write websites, social media, apps, emails, scripts, tone of voice resources, and (of course) ads for companies and nonprofit causes. I find freelance work particularly exciting for the versatility of the clients and have worked with those for whom multiple translations need be accommodated. I maintain that the most important part of my job is listening, both to the details of a particular assignment but also to how words are used by a particular person or, more often, by a disparate collection of people with sometimes overlapping (and sometimes conflicting) agendas. We all have the right to be heard, and we can always come to a singular solution that answers everyone’s needs. And in so
doing, we can create work that’s not only informative and impactful, but also memorable.
