Workfree RADINA - Freelance Creative Director + Artist
I had the pleasure of helping the Workfree Co-Founders with their brand development. Workfree is a freelance platform built, used and owned by the community. Speaking to the founders makes you excited about a better future of work with freelancers, as a freelancer but also as someone who hires talent. Their brand needed to reflect that, reflect the humans behind the company, behind the brand, behind the communities. I helped the founding team bring out their purpose in their branding, making the brand and content feel more human, more relatable and more impactful for the audience they are trying to reach: good, talented people who love working together; and others who want to work better, together. Art direction: I created some lovely pieces of content, inspired by the most personal medium of communication, the humble sticky note. I used their original brand colours and expanded the palette with toned down hues, which were immediately reminiscent of sticky notes. I combined the colours with a simple, email-like text style with handwritten illustration elements to add more personality and warmth. A human touch. This approach stood out against the overly polished, sales-y corporate content, reflecting the dream and pleasure of great work relationships. The goal was to evoke the feeling of "I love working with you; it's great." That’s what it feels like to work with people on Workfree.
