Spotlights
Author and Screenwriter, Danielle Lyles began writing as a way to escape from the crude boyish behaviors of her four brothers. At 19, she left home on a wing and a prayer as a Navy Spouse and eventually a Momma of 4 incredible kids. During this time, she honed in on her writing skill and began writing scripts, plays and blog posts. Noticing a lack of African American voices in the faith based and military community in the entertainment industry, she decided to develop scripts for this underserved demographic. Her desire is to take their voices and put them to paper with hopes of bringing healing to broken hearts and those searching for more in life. Although the majority of her scripts are faith based she recognizes the need for balance in writing faith-based films and entertaining those watching without being overly preachy. This year she began dabbling in photography for a few family members and is excited to add this to her list of works. She has been featured on Army Wife 101, Her View From Home and Purpose Driven Woman. Her first book, “Confessions of a Military Spouse” is available on Amazon.
