Graham Norton's Good Story Guide

Title Sequence for Graham Norton's Good Story Guide, a compilation TV show of clips from The Graham Norton Show. For this project I was Art Director and sole Graphics Designer. I was responsible for creating the entire title sequence graphics, from conception to completion. The comic book 'page' was drawn and coloured by hand in Photoshop, then layered up in 3D space in After Effects to give a parallax when the camera pans over. The speech bubbles, additional colour adjustments, and effect overlays were also done in AE. Most of the time on this project was spent in creating the comic book page. I started with screenshots from the episodes and framed them up in a pleasing composition. Once the images were signed off, I started the laborious task of hand-drawing each celebrity in Photoshop, using my iPad as an input device. I then took this page into After Effects, separated the layers in Z-space and created a camera move to whip through all of the celebrities. The text and textures were added at this stage, then additional colour corrections and depth of field to give a rich quality.
