£50 Note Character Reveal

On July 15, 2019, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney announced that Alan Turing will appear on the new £50 polymer note. Making the announcement at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, the Governor also revealed the imagery depicting Alan Turing and his work that will be used to reverse the note. The new polymer £50 note is expected to enter circulation by the end of 2021. The challenge To create an engaging video that would show the characters' shortlist and the final chosen person who will be on the new £50 polymer note. The idea Using previous £50 note videos to continue the theme, we used the previous talking banknote characters as news reporters to announce the banknote character. The shortlist was presented in a polaroid display format, finishing with the final character. Role: Motion Graphic Designer
